Sew Inspired At the Sewing and Stitchery Expo
SEW INSPIRED
Last weekend I travelled with my best sewing buddy down to Puyallup to attend the 30th Annual Sewing and Stitchery Expo. We had 3 days of taking classes and shopping to our hearts’ content! There was truly something for everyone. We enjoyed browsing the many quilting booths as well as the ones devoted to notions (my favourites!) and fabric (my other favourite! Actually it’s all my favourite!)
There were pattern companies there as well, both the big four (McCall’s, Vogue, Butterick and Simplicity) and some independent companies.
All of the sewing machine companies were there with machines for you to test drive. I have to admit, I fell in love more than once!
The classes were great! My friend and I both took the “Single Needle” classes which ran for 45 minutes. There is always something new to learn in sewing and these little classes were gems; and for only $5! What a deal! These classes have inspired me to try some new things that I haven’t done before.
Spending time at the Expo, immersed in sewing really made me miss sewing! Believe it or not, I spend so much time teaching Beginner Sewing Lessons that I’m often too busy to sew for myself! Well now I’m SEW INSPIRED!
