Way back in January of this year, I received a phone call from Amèlie who works at Brother Canada’s head office in Quebec. I ALMOST didn’t answer when I saw the Quebec extention, because I teach sewing lessons in New Westminster, BC and I knew people wouldn’t be traveling from Quebec to take my sewing lessons! (Although I have had a student from Nunavut, but that is another story!).
Amèlie told me that Brother Canada is working on developing sewing circles across Canada; small groups of sewing newbies in a classroom or sewing studio/circle setting and loving their experience on a Brother machine. Then she asked me if I would be interested in having Brother sponsor me and give me all new machines for my classes! I told her I would think about it and get back to her. NOT!! I jumped on it and said YES PLEASE!!
So after working out all the details my new machines arrived two weeks ago!
It was like Christmas! I actually felt a bit guilty at the abundance of machines, but mostly just really excited and very blessed!
All of my students will now get to sew on brand new Brother Sewing machines! They are perfect beginner machines for my classes!
Here is the line up:
Congrats on the Brother sponsorship for your SewGood Studio. You and your students will enjoy learning and sewing with Brother. I look forward to reading more on your blog. Lynn Swanson, Brother Educator, Western Canada
Thanks Lynn! We’re already having a lot of fun!
